It’s time to mobilize Hottest Firepower for Junsu’s solo debut, pew pew~~! Since International fans cannot purchase music on Korean music sites to help “Alive” perform well on the charts (read this for more info), we’re going to have to make an impact on our own!! It’s been done before, so we know it’s possible! But WE have to make it HAPPEN by working together!

THE MISSION
To honor and celebrate Junsu’s 1st completely solo release by bringing international recognition to JUN.K’s “Alive”. We will achieve this by getting “Alive” on the iTunes chart in Canada & USA (other kpop acts have gotten recognition for getting on the iTunes charts in these countries).

We have read up on how iTunes charts are believed to work. Of course like any chart, there is an algorithm that produces the results not in realtime, but on a “rolling basis”. While the bulk of it results from downloads/sales, it also includes comments, ratings, and plays in your iTunes. Don’t ask us about it, we’re not experts, but after doing some extensive Googling, that seems to be the general idea.


THE STRATEGY
We would like to focus on 1 country’s iTunes chart in order to be the most successful. KPOP has previously charted on the iTunes charts in the USA (other places too, don’t get us wrong!). Most Asian countries do not have iTunes Music charts, only Apps charts, so we’d like everyone to focus their efforts in the USA. You can still purchase the song from your own iTunes in your countries, however, unless your country has an iTunes music chart, it won’t contribute to the charts. We have volunteers in the USA ready to help with this project! We will take over iTunes for 1 full day and download the song as many times as you’ll allow at certain times of day!

American Hottests will volunteer to use their friends and family’s iTunes accounts to purchase the song from. The more accounts we buy from, the better it is for the charts! International Hottests will donate money to buy more songs and our volunteer American Hottests will buy them at the designated times! We will send each person that donates the HQ MP3. You can donate via Paypal or iTunes giftcard!!

HOW YOU CAN HELP!

#1 - American Hottests! We need your help downloading the song from multiple accounts! Use your family’s accounts, friend’s accounts…just any other account that you can access to download the song for other International Hottests. Please sign up with the number of accounts that you can volunteer and we will Paypal you for the extra songs you bought on behalf of other Hottests! Just fill out the simple form with your name, email address, and the number of accounts you can contribute!

#2 - American Hottests, even if you cannot help out in downloading extra songs please buy the song on the day of release at 2PM CST, 6PM CST or 10PM CST! This is important!!!

#3 - If you are an International Hottest that would like to help, you can donate $1.50 USD and we will buy the song for you using our volunteered accounts! Please send the $1.50 USD to donations@usaiamhottest.com and we will take care of you! Please fill out this form
